  • 1. Visa matters

Please kindly request for an advance appointment via email at consularoffice.hoi@mfa.gov.hu either in English or in Vietnamese language

  • 1.1 Details of C visa application (Schengen visa for a duration of stay less than 90 days)

When submitting an appointment request, please indicate the following information: applicant’s full name, purpose of stay in Hungary, planned dates for departure and return, contact information (phone number, email).
Please take note that appointment requests shall be addressed to the Consular Office via e-mail in person, or accompanied by any certified document proving the processing on behalf of the applicant (e.g. travel agency authorization in case of tourist group)!

  • 1.2 Details of D visa application (National visa with a right to obtaining residence permit for a duration of stay exceeding 90 days)

When submitting an appointment request, please indicate the following general information: applicant’s full name, purpose of stay in Hungary (e.g. employment, family reunification, study, else), contact information (phone number, email).
In case of an application for residence permit with employment purpose, besides the ones above, you are also expected to indicate in your appointment request details of your qualification, language capacity, name of employer.
Please take note that appointment requests shall be addressed to the Consular Office via e-mail in person, or by a third party with interest, if, in the latter case, appointment request is accompanied by any document proving the right to proceed on behalf of the applicant (e.g. power of attorney in case of a legal representative; preliminary contract in case of an employer)! Appointment requests for minor beneficiaries are accepted from legal representatives (e.g. parent) too.

The Consular Office of the Embassy of Hungary also covers general consular matters, including but not limited to legalization, naturalization, application for ID document (passport, ETD, national e-ID), or application for home registry (birth, death, and marriage).
